Get Involved

You have the power to make a difference! At Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, our goals are ambitious, but we know we cannot achieve them alone. We need and welcome the support of our community and caring people like you. Together, we can have a lasting impact on the lives of the children who need us most. There are more ways than one to make a difference:

Volunteer at a Clubhouse or Camp Mendocino

Volunteers are essential to our youth development programming and are highly valued in our Clubs and at Camp. We’re always looking for positive role models who can offer their energy, time, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of our youth. There are many ways to contribute based on your schedule and areas of interest. Learn More

Corporate & Group Volunteering

Our Clubs welcome groups of volunteers from our corporate and community partners. We offer endless opportunities for volunteer groups to get involved and interact with our youth.

Groups can participate in done-in-a-day beautification projects such as painting, gardening, reorganizing and cleaning.  They may also participate in existing Clubhouse activities including homework help and arts & crafts projects, or lead fun activities for Club kids such as carnivals, scavenger hunts and field day events.  We also encourage volunteer groups to speak to our teens about their career pathways and what led them to where they are today. Become a “Friend”

If you’re a young professional seeking social, networking, and community service opportunities, look no further. Our Friends group is a great way to have fun while making a difference with a group of motivated, committed peers. Learn More

Donate

Getting involved is as easy as making a contribution to the organization, a program, or an event. Every donation helps provide services to those in need. And, 100 percent of individual gifts go directly toward programs for members. Donate Now

Join a Community Advisory Committee

Each Clubhouse has a Community Advisory Committee, made up of parents, young members, and representatives from the local police department, schools, businesses, and community-based organizations. CACs provide support to the Clubhouse on a local level, serving as advocates for the Club throughout the community and working on specific projects that help move the Clubhouse forward. If you are interested in joining the CAC at any one of our eight Clubhouse locations, please call one of our eight Clubhouses and ask to speak with the Clubhouse Director.

Be creative! Whether it’s holding an event that cultivates the next generation of local philanthropists, asking for contributions to the Club in lieu of birthday gifts, or galvanizing a group of your employees to run a toy drive for BGCSF, we bet you can think of a new way to make a difference.

Check out our events calendar, too.
