Education Director (Full Time) - Mission Clubhouse

The Education Director has general responsibility for the Learning Center and plans, organizes, directs and controls the program and maintenance of the Education Department within the policies of the organization. S/he shall assume accountability for the results in achieving the outlined goals and objectives of the Education Program. This position is full-time and located at our Mission Clubhouse.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum two years classroom teaching experience in traditional or non traditional setting
- Strong classroom management/discipline skills
- Experience in curriculum development
- Experience working with school systems including educational advocacy
- Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Experience working with youth in grades 1st-12th grade
- Ability to develop and implement organized educational programs and services

- Work with volunteer tutors and students to participate in an ongoing education improvement program
- Develop educational programs that are stimulating and age appropriate for all members

Web Administrator (Full Time) – Administrative Office

The Web Administrator maintains Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco’s two websites www.kidsclub.org and www.campmendocino.org; increase website traffic; further develop our online marketing/communications strategies and boost online fundraising. Reports to the Vice President of Development and Director of Marketing
KEY ROLES:
Online Fundraising 35%
- Increase online donors
- This person is an integral part of the development team and will support the entire development department, working cross-functionally, with: templates, systems analysis, setting and achieving goals, budgeting, online strategy, systems, all e-communication
- Develop and implement strategies to grow email database
- Build giving forms for events & campaigns
- Build e-news templates for online messaging, cultivation & solicitation
- Build e-solicitation templates (event and campaign) & event follow ups
- Create e-save the dates, e-invitations, and Ensure email system (collection and output) operates efficiently and effectively and manage email lists and groups
- Develop and maintain all fundraising pages, website donor walls
- Implement online donor surveys
Web Management 35%
- Increase website traffic
- Enhance design and interactivity of websites
- Video and multi-media production including editing, transcoding and web posting
- Manage all content uploads and design upgrades to both websites
- Design all e-newsletter templates and manage online distribution
- Help determine effective marketing strategies to boost online traffic
Social Media 15%
- Expand use of social media by Clubhouses and Camp Mendocino – inclusive of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN, YouTube
- Partner with Marketing to identify strategy(ies) to increase engagement among “followers” and number of “followers”
- Manage BGCSF blog and help maintain regular content uploads
- Regular monitoring of all social media platforms Advise on new upgrades/necessary changes to social media platform
- Conduct social media recruitment campaigns to increase email database
- Provide weekly analytic updates
- Work with the Database Manager to interface emails with Raiser’s edge for smooth transition
Collaborative Activities 10%
- Implementations, monitor, report and or problem solve all programs and/or system
- Attend and participate in Marketing & Development meetings to support overall online strategy of the organization

Data Analysis 5%
- Develop reports and compile data from Blackbaud system

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer field; Computer Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems with concentration in Graphic Design OR four-year degree, plus Web Development certification with four years experience in web-related field.
- Prior non-profit experience is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated understanding of effective design techniques and standards including user interface design, graphics creation, production, and web optimization
- Knowledge of design software (i.e. Adobe, Photo Shop, InDesign, and Illustrator), development software, payment processing and security software
- Familiarity with Blackbaud fundraising software
- Must know HTML, PHP, java technologies and FlashExperience using testing, analysis, and analytics
- Understanding of a data-driven approach to fundraising
- Understanding of web trends and technologies including scripting security, authorizing tools, graphic design tools and new languages
- Online fundraising experience is preferred
- Experience and/or knowledge of social media/Web 2.0 strategies
- Must have excellent communication and organization skills

Technology Coordinator (Part Time) – Excelsior Clubhouse

The Technology Coordinator has general responsibility for the Technology Center and is directly responsible to the Program Director. S/he shall plan, organize, direct and control the program and maintenance of the Technology Center within the policies of the organization. S/he shall assume accountability for the results in achieving the outlined goals and objectives of the Technology Program. This position is PART TIME and located at our Excelsior Clubhouse.
Job Segments
- Promote and stimulate membership in the department insuring that every Club member participates in some Technology Center activities.
- Develop weekly activities to introduce Club members to the functional use of computers.
- Plan and organize department programs, subject to the approval of Program Director.
- Supervise the maintenance and operation of the department’s physical property, insuring club member safety at all times.
- Direct and supervise department activities and all part-time staff and/or volunteers assigned.
- Transport Club members in Club vehicles or on public transportation as needed.
- Exercise authority in problems relating to the department.
- Make daily statistical reports to the Program Director.
- Attend all meetings, conferences and training as required, assist with any fundraising projects conducted by the Club and assist with all Club-wide special events.
- Dress in clothing that is conducive to working with youth members in a youth development setting.
- Must wear a Club staff shirt when instructed.
