Art Programs
Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco is nationally recognized for its Fine Arts Programs. Our members are introduced to a variety of art mediums where they learn valuable skills and practice through a diverse range of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art programs.
Some of the mediums include: monochromatic drawing, multicolored drawing, pastel, collage, mixed media, watercolor, acrylic, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, photography and ceramics. Members have the chance to learn techniques, increase skill and develop discipline in the arts.
Each year members have the opportunity to participate in the National Fine Arts Exhibit and the National Imagemakers Photography Exhibit. These exhibits help youth gain recognition from their peers, family and others in the community. This helps them gain self-confidence and encourages healthy competition among members.
BGCSF members have gone on to win at the National level each of the past 18 years in one category or another!
