The Safeway Ice Rink made its debut in Union Square for the holidays and thanks to Willy Beitak Productions, managers of the rink, BGCSF was chosen as its charity partner! In addition to our name prominently displayed around the rink, 50 cents of each ticket sale is donated to BGCSF. Plus, on November 23, over 70 kids had the opportunity to go to the Union Square Ice Rink to skate and enjoy healthy snacks provided by Safeway. Special characters from Disney were there too, so not only did kids get to skate, but they also got to take photos with Minnie, Mickey & Goofy, plus do arts & crafts with Disney volunteers. A ton of fun and enjoyment was had by all! Thank you to Willy Beitak, Disney and Safeway for a nice holiday treat for our kids!
