Volunteers assist in all areas of our youth development programming. And the opportunities are many! Our Clubs always need tutors, homework helpers, games room attendants and sports enthusiasts. But we are also always looking for volunteers with special skills related to fine arts, crafts, dance, music, computer technology and more. If you have a special skill or interest that you would like to share, we are waiting to hear from you! Becoming a Volunteer is as easy as 1-2-3! 1st - Download and fill out a volunteer application or request an application by contacting volunteer@kidsclub.org. 2nd - Attend a new-volunteer orientation The next step is to attend a new-volunteer orientation at one of our Clubhouses, at which time prospective volunteers learn more about the programs and services that we offer our members, find out about volunteer program policies, and gain useful insight about working with youth! You will be contacted about attending an orientation once we have received your application. 3rd - Clear a background check All ongoing volunteers must clear a background check before volunteering. The background check process is an easy one and is fully explained at orientation. Volunteer Commitment Generally, we need volunteers who are able to commit to one or two hours per week, for at least three months. But short-term projects and single-event opportunities do occasionally arise. So, even if you can't make a long-term, regular commitment, you may still be able to get involved! Volunteer Opportunities Opportunities are available at all of our Clubs, as well as our administrative offices; however, the volunteer needs at each location vary. The time of greatest need for volunteers is during the middle-to-late afternoon hours. Fewer volunteers are needed in the early evening.
