BGCSF Health Advisory Updates

BGCSF CLUB OPERATING HOURS UPDATE—4/4/20
ACTUALIZACIÓN DE HORAS DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL CLUB BGCSF: 4/4/20
BGCSF俱乐部工作时间更新: 20/4/4

Dear BGCSF Families,

Re: UPDATED CLUB OPERATING HOURS IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco has four of our 13 San Francisco locations open, with the Columbia Park Clubhouse open for extended hours. The Clubhouses will only accept a limited number of youth and only for limited hours (see below). As a result of ongoing discussions with City leaders, the Club will remain open as a critical City service for the care and feeding of children who fall into three categories: 1.) economically and physically vulnerable children, 2.) children from families for whom telework and paid sick leave is not available, and 3.) the children of healthcare workers and other essential city workers. The Visitacion Valley Clubhouse is an SFUSD food distribution site serving students.

Boys & Girls Clubs’ decision to open is subject to change on short notice given the rapidly changing circumstances in response to this public health crisis. As always, we continue to rely on government officials at the city, state, and federal levels to guide our decisions as we navigate this crisis in our community.

Please click on the link to each Clubhouse for updates.  Due to the reduced capacity of youth participation, intake will be on a first come first served basis.

All School-Based Clubs, the Don Fisher Clubhouse, the Excelsior Clubhouse, the Mission Clubhouse, and the Tenderloin Clubhouse will be closed until further notice.

BGCSF will continue to rely on the public health professionals in our city, state, and nation for guidance about the right precautions to take. We will determine from their guidance and/or mandate if we need to close programming to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Clubhouse Director or Harold Love, Vice President Club Services (415-445-5488).

Sincerely,
