TOGETHER | WE RISE

past event
On September 17, we hosted Together | We Rise, a virtual event to recognize and thank our staff and supporters. Nearly 700 people came together to acknowledge the six month mark of when the Bay Area went into shelter-in-place and to reflect and celebrate the good work of our community. We appreciated the opportunity to acknowledge our supporters and staff who have stood by us throughout the pandemic, generously giving of their time, talent, and treasure. In case you missed the event, or if you want to watch it again, go to kidsclub.org/werise.You may need to log in to the event or register again, but once you fill in your details, you will be directed to the event page to watch the show.
Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco is a community that thrives because we value diversity, inclusion, kindness, and respect. Racism has no place in our community - or any community. Not just today but every day, we stand together with our Black families, members, colleagues, supporters, and the entire Black community. We all have a responsibility as role models to speak out against systemic racism, promote understanding, and create a world that is smarter, stronger, and kinder.

We encourage you to take action at kidsclub.org/helpnow and to share these resources with others.

BGCSF Supports Vaccinate All 58

BGCSF enthusiastically supports Vaccinate ALL 58 and strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccinations for everyone who is eligible and who is able! Here are some of the ways in which our community has come together in support of COVID-19 vaccinations since June, 2021:

Club Spotlight: Don Fisher Clubhouse

Over the summer, a school bus route was cancelled impacting transportation for over 40 youth who regularly attend the Don Fisher Clubhouse after school. Club Families immediately took action. Letter writing campaigns and parent advocacy resulted not only in the bus route being reinstated, but in an additional bus stop being added right in front of the Clubhouse itself.

Resiliency, Adaptability, and Determination: Three words that define BGCSF in this moment and moving forward

As we push through what we all hope are the final chapters of this pandemic, it’s important for us as individuals and for BGCSF as an organization to take time to reflect on what has happened and to think about what is next.
