A brand-new year is officially here, and our Clubs are ready to make it unforgettable!

As school gets back into full swing, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) is packed with fresh routines, strong friendships, and big goals.

Academic Success

Our Learning Center provides dedicated guidance so every youth has the support they need to succeed in the classroom.

The learning doesn't stop when the school bell rings. Every afternoon, our Clubhouses provide a safe, supportive environment where youth can complete homework, strengthen academic skills, and build the confidence they need to succeed in school. Caring staff are there every step of the way, helping members develop strong study habits while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

From daily homework help to tutoring, hands-on STEM activities, literacy programs, and academic mentoring, our programs are designed to meet youth where they are and help them reach their full potential.

Sports

Our sports programs give youth the space to build confidence, stay active, and build lifelong habits for healthy lifestyles.

Throughout the school year, BGCSF offers basketball, soccer, and football sports leagues. Designed to be inclusive and encouraging, these programs give youth of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to learn fundamental skills, stay active, and experience the power of teamwork in a supportive environment. Swimming lessons, swim team, and water safety programs are available at our Don Fisher Clubhouse.

During school breaks in the fall and spring seasons, our SF All-Stars Sports Camps (basketball and soccer) provide opportunities for youth to deepen their athletic skills, make lasting peer connections, and build lifelong healthy habits.

College Prep

Through our College Prep program, our staff provide high school students with individualized mentorship on applications, financial aid, and post-graduation planning.

As members grow, they can also take advantage of our College Prep and College Success programs, including college tours, application and financial aid support, scholarship guidance, career exploration, and one-on-one mentoring. We continue supporting students beyond high school, helping them navigate college and persist through graduation with the resources and encouragement they need to achieve their goals.

Job Readiness with Earning Potential

From gaining hands-on career exposure to assisting staff and mentoring younger youth, our teens are building professional skills while serving as positive role models for their communities.

At BGCSF, we help teens build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school, the workplace, and beyond. Through our Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program, high school students develop leadership skills, strengthen character, gain hands-on service experience, and prepare for future employment.

As teens grow, they can explore career pathways through workshops, mock interviews, resume building, paid internships, and career exposure visits to local businesses and organizations. Whether they're discovering a new passion, preparing for their first job, or planning for life after high school, our programs provide the guidance, real-world experience, and supportive mentors that help youth take the next step toward a successful future.

Good Character & Community Engagement

In all our programs, we encourage good character while empowering youth of all ages to make a positive impact. Through year-round community service and leadership programs, Club members build practical skills and learn that they have the power to bring about positive change. These experiences foster strong peer networks, a deep community connection, and an understanding of personal responsibility, social justice, and service to others—setting youth on a clear pathway to success by age 18.

Healthy Meals & Your Peace of Mind

At the Club, youth are provided all-natural, healthy snacks and drinks each afternoon. These meals are prepared fresh daily with no artificial preservatives, no artificial colors, and no high-fructose corn syrup in any of the food served.

A Safe, Supportive Environment for Every Child

Above all, BGCSF offers a safe, welcoming environment where youth are known, valued, and inspired. Built on an unwavering commitment to safety and integrity, our organization enforces a zero-tolerance policy against anything that threatens a child's safety. Every Clubhouse is intentionally designed as a physically and emotionally safe space, giving students a positive, supportive space to thrive.
