December 18, 2023

This holiday season, we are pleased to share an exciting update that is rooted in the gratitude, joy, and optimism that defines this time of year at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF).

Construction on our new Clubhouse in Sunnydale is well underway, and we are set to open our doors by the end of this upcoming summer. This new Clubhouse will ensure that hundreds of young people will have a state-of-the-art space to actively and passionately pursue and realize their dreams. Please take a quick virtual tour of the space with me and hear more about why this is making 2024 so bright for our organization!

As we look forward to this and other exciting accomplishments in the coming year, we are profoundly grateful for the generous support of all members of the BGCSF community.

Healing Arts in Culture and Culturally Responsive Events

November is Children's Grief Awareness Month. With generous support from New York Life Foundation and 1440 Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) recently introduced the Healing Arts in Culture (HAiC) program and actively addresses the high rates of death among San Francisco’s BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

Thoughts on San Francisco and Its Bright Future

At a time when the challenges facing San Francisco often make headlines, those of us who are deeply involved in the City are frequently asked for our assessment on what is currently happening and what we expect for the future. While clearly there are complex issues that must be solved if our City and its people are to thrive, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) holds a steadfast sense of optimism for San Francisco, and we are committed to doing our part to ensure its bright future.
