When do Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco summer programs run in 2026?

Summer programs run Monday, June 8, through Friday, July 31, 2026. Program dates are planned to align with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) calendar. If the district calendar changes, program dates may be updated. For the most current information, visit kidsclub.org/summerdetails.

All summer sessions are full-day programs, though daily hours vary by Clubhouse. Families should contact their specific Clubhouse directly for exact hours.

What ages are served in the summer?

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco offers dedicated summer programs for elementary, middle, and high school students, ensuring age-appropriate activities, staffing, and support.

What summer session options are available?

Families may choose:
- Full 8-week summer sessions
- Two-week sessions
at select Clubhouses (this is only at our Don Fisher, Excelsior, and Mission Clubs!).

This flexibility allows families to select the option that best fits their schedule and budget.

How much do summer memberships cost?

Pricing varies by location: 

Columbia Park, Don Fisher, Excelsior, Mission, Visitacion Valley Clubhouses:

Full summer youth membership: $170
- Two-week sessions: $70 per session (Don Fisher, Excelsior, and Mission Clubs only)
- Billing option available for full summer memberships

Sunnydale, Tenderloin, and Willie Mays at Hunters Point Clubhouses:
- Full summer youth membership: $50
- No two-week sessions at these locations
- Billing option available

Teen Membership (High School):

Is it cheaper to sign up for the full summer or two-week sessions?

Two two-week sessions ($140) cost less than the full summer ($170).

Three two-week sessions ($210) cost more than the full summerFamilies planning to attend most of the summer are encouraged to choose the full summer option for the best value.

Are meals provided during the summer program?

Yes. Youth receive healthy snacks and lunch daily. All meals are freshly prepared and contain no artificial preservatives, artificial colors, or high-fructose corn syrup.

What safety measures are in place?

Child safety is our number one priority. Our organization is committed to the highest standards of safety and integrity and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for behavior that harms a child. Our Clubhouses are designed and programmed to be physically and emotionally safe places for our children and teens under the guidance of caring, highly-trained, and trustworthy staff.

Summer programming includes:

Are there summer sports camps available?

Yes. SF All-Stars Sports Camps offer week-long clinics focused on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. Sports include basketball, soccer, and more. Learn more at kidsclub.org/all-stars.

What is Camp Mendocino?

All Club members have the opportunity to attend our 2,000-acre residential summer camp located 3.5 hours north of San Francisco in a beautiful redwood forest. Camp Mendocino provides a creative, fun, and supportive camping experience for youth. Learn more about campmendocino.org.

How do school-based summer programs work?

Our School-Based Clubs at San Francisco Community School, Malcolm X Academy, Bayshore School, and Carver Elementary School will also be open for 8 weeks of summer programming, and you can sign up now. The exact schedule for which weeks will be located within the school and which weeks will be located at the closest Clubhouse (our Excelsior Clubhouse for San Francisco Community School and our Willie Mays Clubhouse at Hunters Point for Malcolm X Academy, and Carver Elementary School) will be available in March.
