Honoring Willie Mays

It has always been a source of tremendous pride that our Clubhouse in the Bayview is named after Willie Mays, who became a legend and a national hero while playing here. Our Clubhouse honors Mr. Mays by being a safe place where young people can learn, grow, and succeed. Rest In peace, Willie Mays.

An Honor and a Privilege: The Willie Mays Clubhouse at Hunters Point

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco is saddened by the passing of the great Willie Mays last week. For the past 17 years, it has been an honor for our organization to be associated with Willie Mays, a baseball legend and national icon. To have him visit our Club and interact with our youth members was always a joy.
