The holiday season invites us to pause and appreciate how family, friendship, service to others, and investing in young people uplifts and strengthens many of us throughout the year. At Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF), we pride ourselves on being strong, dependable, consistent, and passionate for the best interests of the youth in our community.
One of the ways that BGCSF stays anchored and focused in this work is through the consistency that comes from our Formula for Impact. Our Formula for Impact centers on four key areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character & Community Engagement, and Job Readiness with Earning Potential. These are not simply program areas, these are the pillars of the outcomes we seek for all members of our programs.
Each of our Clubs and Camp Mendocino uses the Formula for Impact framework to ensure that we deliver high-quality experiences that inspire kids to realize their full potential in life. We know that youth who achieve academic success, are healthy and know how to stay healthy, understand right from wrong, appreciate their community and make investments in it, and are job ready, are set up for success in life. Thanks to this structure, and our skilled and caring staff, our Clubs are places where all youth feel heard, valued, and ready to thrive.
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for the many people who shape our organization -- our members and their families, staff, generous donors, talented and committed Board members and Trustees, and the many volunteers who strengthen our mission every day. We are grateful for each of you.
Below, I’m pleased to share a glimpse of the joyful, engaged, and meaningful moments happening across our Clubs. These moments remind us why this work matters and why we are so committed to do it.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco!
Summer is a meaningful time for youth to relax, explore new interests, and simply be kids. At Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, our summer programs complement the school year by offering full-day experiences that support learning beyond the classroom. Through hands-on activities, enrichment programs, and opportunities to build friendships, youth engage in fun, low-stress environments designed to support growth, confidence, and connection.
A holiday message from BGCSF President, Rob Connolly.
